¡Oh guitarra!

VOICES XXI was joined by guitarist Giorgia Cavallara in performances of music for guitar and chamber chorus May 20 & 21.  The concert featured A Procession Winding Around Me, Jeffrey Van’s evocative settings of Walt Whitman poetry, and selections from Romancero Gitano, vibrant music by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco to texts of Federico Garcia Lorca.  The concert also included music by Halsey Stevens, David Conte and Stephen Paulus.
