Voices XXI at Montpelier

A recital competition winner!

VOICES XXI performed at Montpelier Arts Center in Laurel, Maryland as one of eight winners of the Center’s Recital Competition. The Center presents a classical music recital series each fall, with performers chosen in a judged competition. The current winners were chosen from 72 applications by Gerald Fischbach, Professor of Music, University of Maryland, and by Richard Zandler, Director, Montpelier Arts Center. The VOICES XXI concert at Montpelier was presented at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 28, 2007.

The Montpelier Arts Center is located on the grounds of the historic Montpelier Mansion on Muirkirk Road in Laurel. Montpelier Mansion, a National Historic Landmark, is one of the finest examples of Georgian architecture in the state, with beautifully landscaped grounds of ancient trees and boxwood and a rare surviving 18th century summerhouse.
